Once told by a Chiropractor that he was ”too tall” to die anything but young — Sean Connolly is a stand-up comic, writer, & conversationalist who loves to learn about people, markets, and happiness. Sean is a door-guy at Comedy Works in Denver & tries to embody the mission of the small business he grew up immersed in, an expedition vehicle company called ’EarthRoamer,’ simply — ”Live Your Dream” InTALLerable has unintentionally become an applied continuation of Sean’s undergraduate research dissertation exploring ’Happiness Economics’ — Young people are desperate for community, purpose, and belonging. Sean will utilize his insatiable curiosity to explore culture & meaning. He talks to new guests about their passions, fears, and life’s adventures. Our host cuts through the noise to ”Height” guests, who are given their spiritual stature — their ”Heart-Height” — after a long-form conversation. Ep. 124: Who’s Hosting the Block Party? (Ft. Sam Krason)
Friday Sep 20, 2024
Friday Sep 20, 2024
As production director of InTALLerable, it’s an honor and a privilege to write my own episode cover. Give this episode along with all others a go because Sean works his tail off to make these worthwhile, long form conversations possible.
A legendary guest of the show returns! Our production director, Sam Krason is here for another fun episode at Top Shelf Studios. During Sam’s long anticipated return on the mic, we discuss what might be the worst way to organize a block party. These not so cryptic ‘invites’ were claimed to be 4 funniest pieces of paper Sam has ever seen. A truly bizarre neighbor whose story you need to hear to believe.
Sam dives into his current work situation after it’s revealed he skipped out on a podcast trip to Moab because of a failed drug test. This leads Sam to believe that the working man is nothing more than an exploited bop-it. Whether or not it was a good decision to miss the trip is still being determined to this day.
This episode drifts in all different directions. From discussing how Sean enlightened a group of friends with one fire meme, to how the algorithm of instagram has changed the way we consume media, to a bit of tension when Sam silently placed a college football bet without Sean, this episode had no bounds. As the air cleared we went into a fan favorite bit, situations.
Thanks to Sam for making the return as he always lights up the room and is just overall a really chill guy. He doesn’t post much these days, if at all, but when he does you won’t want to miss it so make sure to follow him (@sammykra) on Instagram.

Ep. 123: Tips for the Voluntarily Homeless (Ft. Dana Fuller & Nick Hahn)
Tuesday Sep 17, 2024
Tuesday Sep 17, 2024
My guests are stand-up comedians Dana Fuller (@danafullah) & Nick Hahn (@nickhahncomedy). They got their start performing stand-up in Boston before moving out to Colorado last fall to continue their pursuits. Their move entailed becoming voluntarily homeless, for Nick, & continuing their voluntary homelessness, for Dana. Hopefully you can glean some tips from our guests, just in case you ever decide to chase after your own dream and find yourself temporarily without a roof over your head.
Both of these dudes are wicked smart. Nick attended Boston University, studying evolutionary biology then moving to environmental policy & analysis, before dropping out during his junior year. Dana holds two more degrees than Nick, though I didn’t dig into biochemistry nearly enough to allow Dana to flex his mind for the fans. Fear not! Dana made sure to flex his regular muscles to show off his recent gains.
We learn during this episode that gyms are for more than just showering, how easy it is to become disillusioned about creating meaningful change when working in environmentalism, and we revisit the obscene pilot episode of Sesame Street from 1969. Dana tells stories from growing up, we chop it up about the first joke they ever wrote, and we hear from Dana about a show where he followed RFK Jr. at a Libertarian festival, Pork Fest.
Thanks to Dana & Nick for coming on & for the fun hang. Check out their open mic every Friday at Colorado Pinball Pub in Littleton & their monthly showcase in Monument!
InTALLerable is now on YouTube! Please subscribe to the channel so we can reach new fans!!

Ep. 122: Mom Diversified Her Information (Ft. Josh Dweh)
Friday Sep 13, 2024
Friday Sep 13, 2024
Josh Dweh is a stand-up comedian, & writer from Philadelphia. He currently lives in Denver & performs around the country. You can follow him — @joshdweh — on all socials.
Josh grew up on the southwest side of Philly & his parents divorced when he was seven. We talked a lot during this episode about each of our lives since we had never really met before hanging for this recording. It didn’t take long for us to bond over our shared love of comedy.
Josh has lived a life filled with adversity. His mother became a missing person when he was young and has not been found. No setback has stopped Josh’s drive & ambition to prove his mom right and make her proud by spreading laughter through his comedy.
We discuss the disproportionate justice system in the United States, recovery, recidivism, and Josh shares an in depth walk through his life growing up with his sisters in less than glamorous conditions after his parent’s divorce. Josh tells us how he first found stand-up when his mom would bring comedy albums home — at one point his mom worked managing local artists — this coupled with her complete belief in him would lead him to his first open mic at age 16.
His life story has already been great and it’s only just begun. Huge thanks to Josh for his kindness and belief in what we’ve got going on with InTALLerable. Go see him do stand-up!!

Ep. 121: InTALLergation: True Comic Stories (Ft. Korey David)
Tuesday Sep 10, 2024
Tuesday Sep 10, 2024
Korey David is a stand-up comedian based in Denver, Colorado. He is the host of ‘Interrogations: True Crime Stories’ — a hilarious true-crime storytelling stand-up show touring all over the U.S. — be sure to follow Interrogation on YT & Instagram @interrogationtruecrime
Head over to KoreyDavid.com for Korey’s upcoming dates!
Another great hang at TSS! We discussed the origin of Korey’s Interrogation show, his journey with the show and how it has evolved over time, and what addition took their show to a whole new level with audiences. Korey grew up the middle child of three boys, so we went down the greatest hits of growing up as a young man in America: NFL Blitz, Halo LAN parties, and rebelling from team sports to skate.
Korey is from upstate New York, a place where weed is as culturally accepted as it was for me growing up here in Boulder. It was easy for us to find common ground during our conversation, including Korey’s stories from working alongside the “lawless people” of the service industry. We end by contemplating how Korey can land a sponsorship deal for free nicotine, celebrating the announcement of a new Zyn factory in Aurora, and how difficult it is to walk (or even see) the path to success in a career in entertainment.
Thanks to Korey for his time, perspective, and generosity! Go see him do stand-up!!

Ep. 120: New Scoot, Who Dis? (Ft. Nick Ellis)
Friday Sep 06, 2024
Friday Sep 06, 2024
Nick Ellis is a writer, stand-up comic, and man-of-vibe. Support Nick by seeing him perform stand-up around Denver and across the U.S. find his dates & follow him on Instagram @ellisnd
He also writes a newsletter, free to follow but open to support: https://streetsatire.substack.com/
Don’t miss out on his satirical business news with a Sunday morning comic vibe!
He was merely a gracious stranger to me when we first met a few months ago, sharing our debut at Comedy Works south, but now I am delighted to call him a friend. My favorite recent highlight of ‘Human Happiness in its Purest Form” (HHIIPF) was watching the elation on Nick’s face when I helped him drive his new scooter across town. Gotta keep it low mileage baby, can’t be wasting any highway miles!
‘Ope! Another nice midwestern in Top Shelf, you say? That’s right! Honestly, if some theoretical “gun-to-head” scenario arose where I needed to choose one person to ‘Out-Nice’ another person, or else something bad would happen to my loved ones — Nick has my confidence. He has a valuable perspective on modern connection, comparison & social media, and how to remain balanced through the struggles inevitable to our lives.
Listen or don’t, either way Nick & I had a great hang. Thanks to Nick for his kindness & generosity.

Ep. 119: Hottest Podcast on Earth (Ft. Tommy O’Neill & Riley Sorbo)
Friday Aug 30, 2024
Friday Aug 30, 2024
Tommy O’Neill is a stand-up comedian, voice actor, and host of ‘The GizzVerse Podcast.’ His passion for the band: ‘King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard’ led him to others who share in a cult-following love, overwhelming the venues where they host fan meet-ups.
Recently, Tommy was the feature act for a couple weekend shows where I was the opening spot for Alan Bromwell. After picking his brain after each show in Moab, I wanted to ask more about his path to stand-up; happy to report he’s finally been wrangled into T.S.S. or “The Torture Chamber” as he so lovingly deemed it.
A simple question about National Parks sparks a runaway train, in part because Tommy is a great listener, and partly because the host could improve his ability to silence himself. Although, Tommy does only require eight or so minutes to get me to admit I was struggling with existential dread at age nine. If he ever wants to reinvent himself, might I suggest he could be quite the counselor.
We talked about growing up in Florida, the ever-changing landscape of becoming a “successful” stand-up (whatever that’s supposed to mean), Brackish waters, and what’s that, now? Video games ranking above mom on the list of things Tommy loves most?! Now I gotta hear this…
Huge thank you to Tommy for his time & perspective. Keep on rockin’ it dude.

Ep. 118: Recreational Outrage (Ft. Dylan Kantor & Evan Fitzgerald)
Friday Aug 23, 2024
Friday Aug 23, 2024
My guests are Dylan Kantor & Evan Fitzgerald, stand-up comedians & co-hosts of the comedy podcast: Recreational Outrage. Check out their show wherever you consume your pods and catch them all around Denver & their production of stand-up shows from ‘Cloudy Eyed Comedy’ (Dylan) & ‘Slaughterhouse Studios’ (Evan).
We talk about the joys of learning by doing, swapping stories of audio production gone wrong and what lessons we have learned through the painstaking processing of messing up (over & over again) — see the second segment of this episode for a prime example, nice camera work Sean (idiot). Dylan talks about starting at the Humor Underground, the “hang” value of open mics, and how much you can learn from watching a professional crush their show at Comedy Works.
Dylan is a father, Evan the “Dad” of the sound board for Roast Battle League Denver. For a few hours, they father-me-up with lots of advice & perspective. We had a blast talking about everything from ‘OG Mug Bone’ chants at high school football games to preferred penial pronouns.
All aboard for a wild ride! Do you want to get outraged, but only in a recreational setting. This is the episode for you. Big thanks to my generous guests, Dylan & Evan. Check out their pod & their stand-up comedy!

Ep. 117: Booger Bar Rainman (Ft. Mahlon Steepleton & Royalty Klub)
Friday Aug 16, 2024
Friday Aug 16, 2024
We are overjoyed to welcome double the trouble to Top Shelf Studios for a two-guest episode that’s twice as “Iowa-Nice”, since I met both of them in Cedar Rapids while they were studying at Mount Mercy University.
One guest, a newcomer to InTALLeable — Mahlon Steepleton — just returned from a long hot summer in Reno, NV, where he worked as a sportswriter covering the ever-enthralling action of professional women's bowling. The second guest, a seasoned veteran of the show — Josh Harmon (AKA Royalty Klub) — is BACK and he brought enough to share with the class. Royalty Klub debuts an unreleased track called: ‘Energy’, heard exclusively here on InTALLerable!
I met Mahlon & Josh at Moco Hotdog Bar while attending Coe College. They were buddies at the other school in town and we all quickly became friends at this (unfortunately named for Spanish-speakers) hotdog bar. To this day, I still cannot believe they didn’t “pitch” the name by at least ONE Spanish speaking person. Or perhaps folks that’s part of why they served hotdogs and not dank street tacos, but that’s beside the point.
We discuss fanhood in sports, acknowledge yet another Bobby Bonilla Day, Moneyball, Mahlon’s pilgrimage to the Oakland A’s stadium, and Mahlon attempts to break the shout-out record for TSS. If you like movie talk, you won’t want to miss a new game with Mahlon in the after-hours portion of the show. We give him a movie title and he tells us what year it was released. This dude is a rainman and movie-release-year is his rain, man.

All proceeds go right back into the months of future guests on the show! That means more content for your ears!
Tall thanks to both these boys for the shared time & laughter. We’ll run it back next time Mahlon goes to Reno.

Ep. 116: Vibes-Based Debater (Ft. Strider Carnes)
Friday Aug 09, 2024
Friday Aug 09, 2024
My guest is one of the most talented “hobbyist-musicians” I know. He currently sports three mandolins, a banjo, a fiddle, and a guitar in his instrument quiver, so be sure not to miss out on his jam session deep into the after-hours portion of the show. An old friend of mine going all the way back to our days of playing defensive line in peewee football together, the man who introduced me to “The Simpsons” when I wasn’t old enough to watch them at my house: Strider Carnes!
Recorded on Independence Day (July 4th), we have a patriotic time catching up on life’s adventures over the last half-decade. In celebration of our great country, much of this episode is spent finding common-ground on common-sense issues facing our political climate; cause that’s surely what our elected leaders have been doing, right?!
Listen, any and all poly-talk on this episode is littered with lighthearted jokes and surprisingly sensible conclusions, such as Strider’s desire for married gay couples to defend their marijuana plants with guns. Sounds fair to me, no? We talk about age limits for the presidency and make bold conclusions about what we could see happen in the final months of this 2024 presidential race.
We catch up on the happenings of ‘Hot-Strider-Summer’, discussing an electrical fire at Strider’s work, how money might only be real at scale, how we both attended the same first concert: ‘Green Day’ at the Pepsi Center, and how Strider’s new found love for country music is a clear sign of early-onset-pre-Republicanism. Watch out folks!!

Ep. 114: Stretch Yourself (Ft. Jared Chandler)
Friday Jul 26, 2024
Friday Jul 26, 2024
My guest is Jared Chandler, he is a stand-up comedian, writer, & photographer from Greeley, Colorado. He hosts a weekly showcase stand-up show: ‘Stella’s Underground Comedy’ in Greeley every Thursday at 9 pm, where he can be found warming up crowds — opening each show before capturing his fellow comics on the stage with his camera.
His website is JaredChandlerComedy.com & follow him on Instagram @_JaredChandler for upcoming show dates! You’ll want to see him before he blows up, that way you can brag to your friends about being an early-adopter.
Jared is smart, thoughtful, kind, funny, but man this guy clearly LOVES stand-up! I have no doubt after talking to him that the formula of his ‘work-ethic’ + ‘love’ + ‘time’ will inevitably lead him to a successful and happy life — be it in stand-up or wherever his mind/heart/soul may take him — in the casino of life, my money is bet squarely on Jared.
He tells me about his first mics at the Jaeger in Greeley, his diligent process of building an act, and how hosting his weekly mic has brought tremendous growth into both his stand-up and his photography of fellow comics on stage. We get to know one another as we share life stories and I incessantly prod him with questions ranging from his path through stand-up, what life was like growing up in Greeley, and how he finds meaning and purpose in life.
I am grateful for Jared’s generosity in sharing with me his time & perspective.
Be sure to see him at Stella’s in Greeley each Thursday!!
